About this event

Becoming aware of your unconscious bias helps you become an impactful inclusive leader.

This workshop is an introduction to Unconscious Bias. We begin with an explanation of why we are all biased and what types of biases there are, then a series of exercises that help you reflect and teach you what you can do about it. The goal is to develop an understanding of emotional awareness, becoming a more self-aware person.

For leaders and managers wanting to develop the focus on inclusive leadership and bring emotional intelligence into their working environment.

Our presenter is Bernice Feller Thijm, an Inclusion Strategist and Team Performance Coach. For over 20 years, Bernice has led and facilitated teams. To her, differences, resistance and complexity are not obstacles, but rather the fuel for sustainable change. With her company, JustB, Bernice facilitates sessions in which strategy and policy related to diversity and inclusion are translated into concrete action. For this, she uses systems theory, which is based on the question 'what is needed to make the entire system better'. She helps teams create a space with psychological safety in which all colleagues can communicate constructively and connect authentically
